Student Profile: Rachel Croly

I first started karate with SD School of Martial Arts when I was 7 years old, in October 2003. I achieved my 1st Dan Black Belt on the 29th June 2008 after 4 ½ years of training.

My main interest in karate in Kumite. I have competed in numerous competitions around the UK, in places like London, Clacton, Sheffield and Wales. Some of the main competitions I have competed in so far are the British and English Championships and the Welsh Open. I won the British in 2006 and I have won the Welsh Open twice. In these competitions, I have represented Toyakwai at national level.

It has also taught me self defence which can help me in real life situations in the future. I also am going to try and get my 2nd Dan black belt sometime this year.
