SD Harry goes to Disney

One of SD School of Martial Arts’ Junior Elite Squad members, spent last weekend competing in a Karate competition in France.

Harry Hesketh-Paterson entered the European Festival of Martial Arts which was held at the Disneyland Paris Resort.

Harry competed in the Kata (forms) and the Kumite (Sparring) sections. He did incredibly well, and managed to secure a Bronze medal in the kata and a Gold in the Kumite, beating a Ukranian competitor in the final.

Harry and Mum, Joyce, had a fantastic few days in Disneyland enjoying the martial arts demonstrations, including a special show by Strike XMA team, (as seen on Britains’ Got Talent) and of course the Disney rides and shows. Harry was particularly thrilled that he had grown tall enough to enable him to go on the Indiana Jones ride!
